Sheriff Kenny Cassell states that on January 24, 2019, his agency received information of a wanted person on Frolic Lane in Searcy County.  According to the information, the individual, Brock Alton Henthorn of Bismark, Arkansas, was wanted on charges of Violation of Probation.

Sheriff Cassell contacted Clark County Sheriff Jason Watson concerning details of the individual, when he learned that Henthorn was also being sought in an active homicide investigation from Clark County.  Earlier in the day, the body of John Ratton had been discovered north of Amity, Arkansas.  Amity is 33 miles southwest of Hot Springs.

According to Sheriff Cassell, officers and agents from the Searcy County Sheriff's Department, Arkansas Community Correction SRT Team, Arkansas State Police, Arkansas Community Corrections and the North Central K-9 Team descended on the residence on Frolic Lane at approximately 7:30pm.

Once at the residence, Henthorn was contacted via telephone.  He was given instructions to exit the residence, with which he complied.  Brock A. Henthorn was arrested without incident and transported to the Searcy County Detention Center for holding.

On January 25, 2019, Clark County authorities arrived at Searcy County and transported Henthorn back to Clark County.

Sheriff Cassell praised all agencies involved during the apprehension of Brock Henthorn.
