Probation Revocation leads to arrest

Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell reported on March 7, 2019, Derek Neal Ledbetter, age 32,of Harriet was arrested after he revoked the conditions of his current probation.

 

Cassell said that Ledbetter was originally arrested on February 21 after he admitted he delivered a letter to a female stating he should have raped the woman when he had the chance.  Ledbetter was jailed on charges of Terroristic Threatening, 1st Degree, Class D felony; and Harassing Communications, Class A misdemeanor.  His bond was set at $10,000, which he posted.

 

On March 1, a bench warrant was issued for Ledbetter's arrest on terroristic threatening charges.  Sheriff Cassell located Ledbetter at an eating establishment in Marshall on March 7.  Ledbetter was arrested by the Sheriff and transported to the Searcy County Detention Center.

 

Ledbetter is currently being held without bond in the Searcy County Detention Center.  He has a court date of March 22, 2019.
