On March 1, 2017 at approximately 2 am in Searcy County, the city of Marshall and some surrounding communities were hit by a thunderstorm and what appears to be, at this time, straight lines winds. We are still waiting to hear from the NWS on speeds. There were no reports of injuries, just a lot of property damage, trees and power lines down. Law Enforcement as well as Fire/First Responder Crews, Road Crews and Power Companies worked tirelessly through the night and into the afternoon to make sure everyone was safe and power was restored.
