Traffic stop leads to arrest

Sheriff Kenny Cassell states that on March 1st, 2025, at or around 3:23 A.M., Deputy Caleb Horn, with the Searcy County Sheriff's Office was on random patrol when he observed a red Chevrolet Camaro on highway 65 in the area of Leslie, Arkansas exceeding the posted speed limit.
After conducting a traffic stop, Deputy Horn approached the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Jenkquil Knighten, 31 of Berryville, Arkansas. During examination of the Knighten's paperwork, the deputy discovered no insurance existed on the vehicle.
Deputy Horn noted that while speaking with Knighten, he smelled the odor of Marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. During the investigation, Deputy Horn located Marijuana inside the vehicle, which was seized and placed into evidence.
Knighten was arrested and transported to the Searcy County Detention Center. Knighten will appear in Searcy Couty District Court on May13, 2025.
