Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell reported on Thursday, February 28, James Wilber House, age 49, of Marshall was arrested and charged with failure to update registration and reporting requirements of a sex offender.
Cassell stated the arrest occurred following a routine traffic stop near north Hwy. 27 by a Searcy County deputy. During the stop, the deputy learned that House, who is a registered sex offender, was not listed on the registration or proof of insurance belonging to Chevy S-10 he was driving. Further investigation found there was no entry made for House to be operating or in possession of the Chevy S-10.
